19th May 2007 Windsurfing: Hayling Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: F4 Surf / Sea State: Swell building Air Temperature: 17 Sea Temperature: 12 Weather: Sunny, mixed cloud Max Speed: Distance Covered: Surprisingly few people out, swell quite big. Took 6.5 and 102l because wind quite flukey seeming. Got out ok. Very nervous of jumping today, not sure why, but did some small ones. Came in for food, went out feeling better, swell cleaning up. Came ashore tired, was going to walk back, but decided too far, would sail. Out thru shorebreak again, and then... waterstarted to come inwards, and caught wave, rode what felt like miles, up, down, very broad, frontside!!Not really sure how it worked but it did. Worth all the trouble :) Packed up not long after, shorebreak getting v nasty, but the wind was coming up and the swell really forming sets. Poo. Stopped off at Poo Bay but too busy.
